Embracing differences…

Embracing Differences:

My journey as a writer, advocate and motivational speaker continues—and I was thrilled when i was able to share when I wrote a second book called I Am. This new story once again features Chip the crab, the quirky, lovable character from Cracked as a Crab. But this time, Chip’s adventure takes a more reflective turn.

In I Am, I wanted to highlight the importance of positive self-affirmations. Explores who we are, what makes us special, and how embracing our uniqueness helps us grow stronger and more confident. Through simple, powerful phrases like “I am brave,” “I am kind,” and “I am enough,” the book encourages young readers to celebrate themselves—just as they are.

I believe it’s so important for our younger generations to know that it’s okay to be different. In fact, our differences are what make us extraordinary. Whether someone has autism, a different way of thinking, or simply feels out of place sometimes, they deserve to know they belong.

But this message isn’t just for kids—it’s for everyone. Accepting differences leads to more inclusiveness, more understanding, and more compassion. When we stop trying to fit people into boxes and start celebrating what makes each person unique, we build a kinder, more connected world.

Writing I Am was a deeply personal experience. It’s not just a book—it’s a reminder. A reminder that every person has value, that every voice matters, and that being yourself is the greatest gift you can give
